Dr. Susan Longar is a board-certified eye physician and surgeon who has been in private practice at Seton Medical Center since 1995. Dr. Longar provides the latest technique of cataract surgery without shots, stitching, or patching. Dr. Longar is experienced in treating all types of eye conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration with laser, surgery, or medication.
Dr. Longar and her team have the most modern diagnostic equipment and treatment modalities to ensure the highest quality of eye care possible. She is also proficient in Botox and Juvéderm administration for cosmetic and therapeutic uses. For the past 14 years, Dr. Longar has traveled to Guatemala to volunteer her surgical expertise to perform cataract and corneal surgery for patients who are otherwise unable to receive care.
In her free time Dr. Longar is an avid road cyclist, mountain biker, and long distance runner. She enjoys gourmet cooking, reading, and world travel.
